YOU SHOULD KNOW
YOU SHOULD KNOW
You should know that when I met you I was dying.
Spiritually my life wasn’t satisfying.
See I’ve known love, but I never knew what it was like to receive.
Our friendship evolving is something my mind could not conceive.
There was something in your eyes I saw yet I could not see.
When I grow up, I wanna be the person you saw when you looked at me.
You should know that you hurt my feelings but still I stayed.
No apologies, but I took responsibility for the part I played.
Didn’t tell me the whole story, but our bond was so strong somehow I knew.
If I give him this love, there nothing that he will not do.
He don’t know that he hurt my feelings but still I do.
Wanna kiss your lips and spend the rest of my life with you.
You should know that when I met you I was dying.
Spiritually my life wasn’t gratifying.
See I’ve known love, but I never knew what it was like to receive.
Our love evolving is something my mind could not conceive.
There was something in your eyes I saw yet I could not see.
When I grow up, I wanna be the person you saw when you looked at me.
You should know I can’t spend another second as just your friend.
Can I see your face, everyday my new life begins.
I’ll accept you, your love, and all your imperfections.
Considering you and your feelings in my life’s decisions.
No hesitation, I’m willing to give you all my life.
No recitation, it’s understood that she’s my wife.
You should know I cant spend another second as just your friend.
Want this to be, the last face I see when my new life’s ends.
If you accept me, and my love for you I’ll make corrections.
Just consider yourself and your faults when you make reflections.
No hesitation I willing to give you my life-span.
No dedication it’s understood he’s my husband.
You should know.
